Christmas Keepsakes: Building New Family Traditions

We’re fast approaching Christmas, and I’m so excited about all the Keepsakes I'm making, ready to be opened on Christmas morning!

It got me thinking. Christmas is such a special day, it's a time for making family memories that you can cherish forever. It goes so far beyond the presents and the delicious Christmas dinner; it’s about families, loved ones spending time together and re-living those Christmas traditions.

Every year, out comes the Christmas tree, the family ornaments and the decorations which have been around forever. My mum still has the salt dough Christmas decorations my sisters and I made when  we were little! And yes, they still get put on their tree 29 years later!

It's lovely to have something meaningful for your family that you can bring out and enjoy each and every year, and what if a Keepsake Blanket became that special festive tradition?

Christmas jumpers are so popular now, and have expanded to onsies, dresses, leggings and hats for us grown-ups! There's also all those gorgeous Christmas outfits for our little ones; Santa’s Little Elf, Mrs Claus, Rudolph, or even that little Christmas Tree outfit! They're such creative, lovely ideas, that would make such a fun Keepsake blanket. After it's such a shame to wear wear and enjoy the once!

To create your family Christmas Keepsake Blanket, we'll combine your little ones’ Christmas clothes and outfits, your own Christmas clothes plus any other Christmas themed textiles that you love, or have in your family! We finish it with a lovely, festive coloured polka dot border and preserve those Christmas memories in such a fun and unique way.

It  makes such a lovely addition to your Christmas decorations every year, for years to come. And I cannot think of a nicer way to spend Christmas than cuddled up as a family on the sofa watching Christmas films, snug and cosy under your special Keepsake Blanket.

If you’d like to speak to me more about different options for a Christmas themed Keepsake, please get in touch and I would love to explore ideas with you.

Love, Hayley x

Hi, have you considered stockings or Santa sacks as well as quilts/blankets? I’d be interested if you thought it was doable? Love your work ?
